Dear Local Community and Business Leaders,
THANK YOU for your past support of the Madison High School Senior WINGS Experience. As you might suspect, we are writing to ask if you would be willing to support the program again this year.
Refresher: What is Senior WINGS? It is an opportunity for seniors to build more connections with our community, learn more about careers they are interested in, and contribute to the community through service learning experiences. Besides building community connections, WINGS provides seniors an opportunity to apply the skills they have been developing throughout their education and explore career and personal interests beyond the classroom. This year, the Senior WINGS Experience dates are from May 18 - June 2, 2026 wherein seniors will dedicate at least 40 hours to career shadowing or community service. More information about our WINGS program can be found on the Madison website. In May 2025, 509 students engaged in a Senior WINGS experience.
Timeline: In the fall of their senior year, Madison Seniors identify a local business or service organization they are interested in, apply for the WINGS program through their advisory class, then work throughout the winter to coordinate a placement with a business or organization. Students should have a placement by January, 2026. Once they have secured a placement, they and their parents sign a contract confirming their placement and commitment to 40-hours. Seniors are responsible for coordinating their schedule with the organization, taking into consideration AP Exams and other extracurricular or curricular commitments. Please see the WINGS flier for more information and an invitation to attend our Career and Community Service Fair on Friday, November 7th at Madison to meet students in person.
We appreciate you supporting our future generation as they explore and enter the “real world” and make a positive impact!
If you are interested in hosting one or more seniors in May, please let us know by completing this form. If you know of additional people, businesses or organizations that would be interested in supporting Madison Seniors, please forward this email to them.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful day!
