Maui Glow Club, a sunless spray tanning studio in Northern Virginia, is growing, and we’re looking for amazing individuals to join our team. This part-time position offers incredible perks like free spray tans, competitive pay, creating fun content, and no prior experience required.

You’ll help clients feel comfortable—even when they’re at their most vulnerable, like being nude or semi-nude. Spray tanning is an art form, and every client is your canvas. You’ll customize each tan to perfectly complement their skin tone, body shape, and personality. Precision, creativity, and attention to detail are essential—you’re creating glowing masterpieces that clients will show off with pride.

Why Jillian Michaels?
Because you have to be active.
This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk kind of job. You’ll be moving, standing, bending, lifting, and engaging with clients throughout the day. You can expect to be on your feet for long periods of time. It’s a hands-on role that requires energy, stamina, and a positive vibe that keeps clients coming back for more.

What You’ll Do:

• Spray Tanning Services: Don’t worry—we’ll provide all the training you need to become a spray tan pro! Your comprehensive training includes cutting edge training on every spray tanning service and product we offer, as well as a contouring course

• Client Consultations: Analyze skin tones, understand their desired look, skin type, and goals for their glow while setting expectations. Educate clients on pre- and post-tan care to ensure the longevity of their tan.

• Creating a Wow Experience: Make every client feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, and build meaningful connections to ensure a loyal customer base. Deliver exceptional service and a five star experience

• Technology Tasks: Use our salon software to book appointments, process payments, and manage client records

• Studio Tidying & Cleaning: Keep the studio and our equipment sparkling! Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized workspace. Daily tidying, equipment cleanings, and weekly deep cleans are part of the job.

• Phone & Client Communication: Answer client inquiries, return calls, write handwritten thank you notes, ask for reviews, and provide outstanding support.

• Social Media Management: Contribute to creating fun, engaging, and educational content for our social media accounts (mainly Instagram & Facebook), as well as email marketing

• Community Outreach: Look for local events we can participate in, reach out to complementary nearby businesses we can partner with, and always be looking for ways we can promote Maui Glow Club in the community. You may also participate in “pop up” events at other businesses passing out goodie bags and business cards

• Product & Beauty Knowledge: Receive expert training on our exclusive line of spray-tan-friendly products, designed to help clients perfectly prepare for their tan and maintain their glow with top-notch aftercare. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in spray tanning and beauty.

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly, professional, and polished individuals with a genuine heart for customer service

• Easy-going warm personality and strong communication skills that make clients feel instantly comfortable

• Comfortable working with clients who may be nude or semi-nude, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times

• Punctuality and reliability—clients count on us to help them look and feel their best for important life events so we need to show up for them

• Ability to work independently, manage time well, and stay focused

• Willingness to learn our services, products, and technology, and strive to become a spray tanning expert

• Attention to details and cleanliness

• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and Canva is a plus

• Experience in beauty services is a plus, but we’ll happily train the right person

• Bonus points if you’re social media savvy

Availability Requirements:
Studio hours vary by season 

We’re looking for a minimum of 10 hours of weekday availability per week (Mon-Fri), and 2 Saturdays per month. Studio is by appointment only, so your hours are only booked when appointments are booked and subject to change weekly.

• Monday–Friday: Appointments are available 9:00 AM–8:00 PM

• Saturdays & Sundays: Appointments are available 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Schedules will be communicated weekly, on Sundays

Perks & Pay:

• Perks: Free spray tans (up to 4/month) and discounts on retail items

• Compensation: Hourly plus gratuity (can be very lucrative!)

Requirements:

• Available to work part time on scheduled days

• Live locally, near 22180

• Have reliable transportation, and flexible availability including nights and weekend

• Must be at least 18 years of age
