Communications Manager - part-time, flexible and remote

We are seeking a Communications Manager to lead and implement Belong’s internal and external communications strategy. This role will shape how we share stories, engage our community, and elevate the visibility of our mission. The Communications Manager will oversee marketing and publicity efforts, create compelling content, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. This part-time position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities

• Digital Presence: Manage and enhance the Belong website to reflect evolving needs and priorities.
• Social Media & Online Platforms: Oversee Belong’s presence on social media and nonprofit directories (Candid, Great Nonprofits).
• Storytelling: Collect and produce student success stories (photos and narratives) each spring.
• Fundraising Support: Lead communications for fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and recognition.
• Publications: Create the annual report and (generally monthly) e-newsletters (via Constant Contact).
• Marketing Materials: Design and update flyers, event promotions, postcards, and other collateral.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications uphold Belong’s mission, values, and visual identity.
