Viewing and Panel Discussion of "Race: The Power of an Illusion" (Episode Two- The Story We Tell)- Learn more about how the transition from indentured status to permanent slave status became associated with skin color and how flawed pseudoscientific definitions of race led to exclusion of various rights for Blacks, Native Americans, and Hispanics in American history.  Karla Bruce, Fairfax County Chief Equity Officer, will moderate and lead a discussion following the film.  Complimentary popcorn and water will be served.  This event (and film) is recommended for ages 12 to adult.
