Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop

Registration required by October 11 by calling the Shepherd’s Center at 703-281-0538 . If you are an older adult with chronic health problems such as arthritis, diabetes, lupus, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and heart disease, we invite you to participate in a program to encourage healthy living.  This free workshop series will help you take control of your medical care and improve your ability to handle the frustration, fatigue and feelings of hopelessness that often accompany life with a chronic illness.  Join us to learn strategies to cope with your concerns and develop personal goals.  Caregivers and older adults with chronic conditions are also invited to attend.    Any questions may be directed to Maureen Riddel, Shepherd's Center volunteer at 703-481-2371 or Casey Tarr, SCOV Health Advocate at 703-821-6838
