As Chief Meteorologist\, he brings over 30 years experience to his daily broadcasts on ABC channel 7 News at 4\, 5 and 6:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nDoug has been honored with a Washington Emmy Award for broadcast excellence and he has also been awarded the "Seal of Approval" from the American Meteorological Society. \n\n\n\nPrior to joining Channel 7\, Doug served 16 years as Chief Meteorologist for CBS channel 9. He began his broadcast career in 1978 in Richmond\, then moved to Detroit before returning to Washington in 1984.\n\n\n\nAt the luncheon\, Doug will entertain us with stories from the world of weather forecasting.
