DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to view\n\nTHE HEALING WALL PUZZLE PROJECT\n\nRECEPTION\n\nSUNDAY\, JULY 9\, 6:00   8:00 PM\n\nVienna Art Center\, 115 Pleasant St.\, NW\, Vienna VA 22180\n\n\n\nThe July exhibition at the Vienna Arts Society& Art Center features giant puzzles assembled from 12 x 12\; puzzle pieces.  Each piece is an original artwork: a drawing\, painting or collage created by troops on the mend at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. This is the fourth year that members of the Vienna Arts Society\n\nhave worked with the staff and patients in the ward\, arriving at the hospital armed with\n\nblank puzzle pieces and a variety of elements needed to paint and collage on them.\n\nMost of the patients had little experience with creating art\, and yet as they began putting\n\npaint onto the puzzle pieces they discovered their own inner artist. Each piece makes a\n\npowerful statement by itself as well as part of the larger puzzle. As one Vienna Arts\n\nSociety member noted\,These artists are so brave to put this work out there.  It\n\nhas been a true honor to spend time with them.\n\nYou'll have an opportunity to enjoy a bite and a beverage while meeting members of the\n\nVienna Arts Society who have worked with the troops.
