She also works with dozens of volunteers and has overseen record growth in membership and outreach. \n\nIn 2019\, Beth won the Barbara Varon Award for Community Service in Fairfax County for her leadership in leading the LWV High School Voter Registration Team for Fairfax County Public. She also created the FCPS High School Voter Registration Challenge\, resulting in over 20\,000 students registering to vote since 2017. \n\nBeth also serves as a Chief Election officer for Fairfax County on election days. We have elections every year in Virginia ? Virginia is for both lovers and voters. \n\nBeth is the past president of the Fairfax County Council of PTAs\, having also served as PTA President at both Oakton Elementary School and Landstuhl Elementary and Middle School in Germany.\n\nA holder of a BA in History and an MBA\, Beth has taught high school economics\, government\, and AP US History\, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Economics in Romania. A native Tennessean\, Beth was also a historical researcher for the author Alex Haley. Beth has lived abroad in London\, Switzerland\, Romania\, and Germany\, and speaks English and Romanian. Beth and her husband\, Costi\, live in Vienna\, Virginia\, and have three sons. \n\n\n\nAbout Anu:\n\nAny Sahai has a BA in Economics from Delhi University followed by a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law\, Delhi University. She has worked in Legal Aid for several years in India. She came to America in 1991 and worked in Immigration law from 1992 until 1999. Since joining the league\, she has been a discussion leader and a moderator at the candidate forums.
