SUMMARY:VBA Nonprofit Learning Series-Social Media\, Marketing and PR for the Nonprofit
DESCRIPTION:The first meeting of our nonprofit learning series will be Friday\, July 27th from 11am-12:30pm. By popular demand\, the theme of this meeting with be social media\, marketing\, and PR. This is a FREE event and all members of the VBA (nonprofit and for-profit) and their staff are welcome to attend!\n\nCatherine Read of Read.Think.Act. will join us as a subject expert on social media integration. From her website:\n\n"I've never heard anyone talk about social media like that." The statement most often made after Catherine's presentations. That is chiefly because social media is not the end game\, it's a tool used to achieve definable and measurable goals. That goal might be new business\, more sales\, brand awareness\, cause marketing\, driving memberships\, increasing registrations\, raising money\, advancing a career\, building a network or getting out the vote. A strategy has to be in place for the tools to be effective and that is what is missing from most discussions around social media/digital media platforms.\n\nThe first 45 minutes (11-11:45) will be dedicated to social media\, marketing and PR training\, while the second 45 minutes (11:45-12:30) will be an open forum allowing for enriching conversation on any topics amongst the attendees.\n\nPlease bring your lunch and we will learn as we eat! Hope to see you there!\n\nQuestions? Please contact Holly\, VBA Nonprofit Committee Chair\, at Holly@BRAWS.org\n\n \n\nThis is a FREE event and all members of the VBA (nonprofit and for-profit) and their staff are welcome to attend\; however\, space is limited and we ask that\n\n all attendees register HERE.
