DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our BBQ Lunch Kick-Off to Summer!\n\nAmerican Legion\, Post 180\n\nJune 8\, 2023\n\n11:30 - 1:00 PM\n\n\n\nEveryone is Welcome!\n\n\n\nDelicious BBQ lunch provided by the American Legion!\n\n\n\nOur meeting will start with the presentation of the Robert Leggett  Outstanding Service Award to Kathy Georgen\, Owner\, Georgen Scarborough Associates\, PC.\n\n\n\nOur Featured Speaker will be Town of Vienna Events Manager\, Lily Widman\, who will provide a presentation on the upcoming Town of Vienna Liberty Amendments Month (LAM)!\n\n\n\nLiberty Amendments Month is an annual\, month-long celebration in the Town of Vienna that celebrates the Constitutional Amendments that give equal rights to all citizens.\n\n\n\nThere are a lot of opportunities for all ages to get involved\, sponsor\, attend\, vend\, volunteer and learn.\n\n\n\nThe VBA is one of the co-hosts of this event and we would to love to for you to join us and learn more about this fantastic\, month-long celebration!\n\n \nLiberty Amendments Month Weekly Schedule\n\n \n\n2023 Event: June 17- July 17 2023\n\nKick off: June 17\, 2023 - Juneteenth Celebration at First Baptist Church\n\nJune 17 - June 23 - Celebrating the 13th Amendment abolished slavery\n\nJune 24 - June 30 - Celebrating the 14th Amendment in response to issues faced by former slaves\, addresses citizenship rights and equal protection under the law.\n\nJuly 1 - July 7 - Celebrating the 15th Amendment extended the right to vote to all men regardless of race\, color\, or previous condition of servitude.\n\nJuly 8   July 14 - Celebrating the 19th Amendment extended voting rights to women.\n\nClosing Event: July 15 - Vienna Multicultural Festival\, 3-8 PM
