DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Town of Vienna and the Vienna Business Association\n\nTheme: Random Acts of Kindness\n\n\n\n2020 Parade Line Up is TBA\n\n\n\nWhat is a Wave Parade? Due to the ongoing public health crisis\, the Town of Vienna and the Vienna Business Association have elected to present a 'Wave Parade' for our 74th Annual Parade. The parade will consist of 10-15 floats\, will step off from the Vienna Community Center at 10 am on Halloween (Saturday\, October 31st)\, and will visit all 4 quadrants of Vienna (not every street). A route will be released to the public on Thursday\, October 29 after 3 pm. Residents will be able to don their costumes and wave from sidewalks near their homes as the parade passes by. \n\n\n\nNote: The event will follow recommended safety protocols\, wearing of face coverings and social distancing measures provided by the CDC\, WHO\, Fairfax County Health Department and Event Safety Alliance. \n\n\n\nWho will participate?\n\nOnly applications for floats will be accepted for the 2020 parade. More details on float requirements may be found in the application packet. Space is limited and only floats that can commit to following all parade guidelines and demonstrate the highest entertainment value will be selected to participate. Floats will be selected by a jury of representatives from the Vienna Business Association and the Town of Vienna. No applications for walking groups or stand alone vehicles will be accepted.
