DESCRIPTION:Announcing the (altered) 13th Annual Vienna Oktoberfest!\n\n2020 DISTANZ OKTOBERFEST\, ALL OVER TOWN!\n\nOctober 2 - 4\, 2020\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNow accepting registrations for Town of Vienna and/or VBA businesses.\n\nAdd your fun Distanz Oktoberfest special deals and promotions!\n\n\n\nThe 2020 Distanz Oktoberfest will feature fun festival specials and promotions all over town in the following 4 categories:\n\n\n\n  Festival Food \n\n  Beer & Wine \n\n  Market Platz/Retail\n\n  Business Expo/Professionals \n\n\n\nGet the picture?  In 2020\, we aren't just celebrating on Church ST\, this year we are celebrating ALL OVER TOWN!\n\n\n\nThe COVID Pandemic may have crushed our big events\, but it won't crush our Oktoberfest spirit! \n\n\n\nFor three days the VBA and Town of Vienna are hosting Distanz Oktoberfest which will feature local businesses all over town who are offering Oktoberfest specials\, happenings and festivities!\n\n\n\nAll businesses in the Town of Vienna\, and VBA members\, are welcome to participate as a complimentary "vendor" in the Distanz Oktoberfest 2020 event.  Simply choose 1 category to participate in (food\, beer & wine\, marketplatz\, or biz expo)\, and sign-up and let us know what fun promotion or event/activity you will be hosting!!\n\n\n\nMake it fun\, make it safe\, make it festive\, and..mostly...make it a reason for folks to come to your business!\n\n\n\nThe VBA and the Town of Vienna will be promoting all promotions through multiple social media platforms and email marketing\, as well as local media outlets!  The sooner you sign up\, the more marketing you will receive!\n\n\n\nThe deadline to register is September 25\, 2020 \n\n\n\nIf you are interested in being a Sponsor for the 2020 Distanz Oktoberfest\, please contact: Peggy James at info@viennabusiness.org\n\n\n\nHere are a couple of ideas to get your creative juices flowing:\n\n\n\nFestival Food:  Offer German foods such as brats\, pretzels schnitzel etc.  Offer fun festival foods such as fried oreos\, ice cream\, cotton candy\, corn dogs\, etc.  Offer an international special that suits your biz (pad thai\, pizza\, chicken on a stick w/ fried rice\, pho\, bbq\, etc).  Offer special discounts for people in German costumes. Host an activity or entertainer.\n\n\n\nBeer & Wine:  Offer German wine tastings. Offer specials on German Beer or wine.  Offer plastic beer/wine cups or coozies with your logo. Offer special discounts for people in German costumes. Host an activity or entertainer.\n\n\n\nMarketplatz/Retail: Offer special discounts for folks who mention a "secret phrase" that you list in your promotion.  Feature German syles/books/etc.  Host outside markets or activities (social distanced\, of course). Offer special discounts for people in German costumes. Host an activity or entertainer.\n\n\n\nBusiness Expo/Professional Services:  Offer give-a-ways that represent your business (such as plungers for plumbers\, paint hats for paint stores\, and other fun swag that entices folks to come to your business!)
